July 11th-24th is NYC Restaurant Week. During Restaurant Week over 250 high-end restaurants offer 3-course prix-fixe lunches for $24 and dinners for $35. I took advantage of this great deal with my parents and roommate last night at Thalassa, a Greek restaurant around the corner on Franklin Street. Having recently travelled to Greece, I was curious to see if a restaurant in America could provide an authentic Greek dining experience. Thalassa stood up to the test, from the music to the decor to the food. I felt like I was in Greece again!
I started off with the Vine-Ripened Tomato, Dodonis Feta, and Basil Olive Oil, followed by the Petit Filet Mignon. Dessert wasBaklava with Pistachio Gelato. Everything was so delicious!! I’m hoping to get to another participating restaurant before the week is over!
