19 mi Long Run
Was treated to the most perfect running weather this week! Reminded me of my high school days in Newport Beach, CA. Busy work week but managed to get in some very solid training. Had a blast with NYAC squad at the annual Margarita Party hosted by the Runner’s Club on Thursday night after a successful Wednesday track workout. Went over to the West Side Highway Saturday morning for some marathon pace work. Fellow Ivy Leaguer and new NYAC team member Alex Cadicamo joined me! Having workout company is so rare for me these days so it was a real treat to have Alex! Workout called for 10-13 miles at 6:15-6:30 pace and 16-18 miles total. Ended up running 12 miles at 6:05 pace and 19 miles total. Felt AMAZING! Although I am very much enjoying the track, this workout got me excited for Fall marathon training! Finished up the week with an easy 10 mile run in Central Park on Sunday. Caught up with Jay who I hadn’t seen since Boston.
